The Fergus Grand Theatre is almost 100 years old. Run by the Township of Centre Wellington and an army of volunteers, the theatre hosts an array of theatrical and musical events every year.

A Scottish festival celebrating the Scottish heritage of Fergus, the festival is held annually in August. It features numerous traditional events including: Heavy Events Competitions; Pipe Band Competitions; Highland Dancers; Whisky Tasting, Celtic Musicians; international vendors and children’s entertainment.

Water Cycles Bikes and Blues Festival

Annual music festival celebrating water, cycling and community.

The Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA) tells the stories of the people and places of Wellington County. The museum is a National Historic Site, located in the oldest remaining rural House of Industry and Refuge (or 'Poor House') in Canada. The building was constructed in 1877 as place for the poor, homeless, and destitute people of Wellington County. The museum has a permanent collection and hosts special exhibitions, lectures and educational programmes. There is also a new Indigenous Gathering Circle.

Elora Centre for the Arts

Community arts centre featuring exhibitions of local artists and a shop. The centre offers workshops for youth and adults. Enjoy your picnic lunch in the art garden.

Visit the Elora Farmers Market (9 am to 1 pm, Saturdays) in Bissell Park in the summer, and at the Highland Rugby Club in the fall. Buy local produce, baked goods, arts and crafts.

Annual outdoor music festival held in August. The festival features a wide variety of well known performers as well as up-and-coming and indie acts. Enjoy the artisan market, food trucks and craft brews.
