Explore the Trails at Luther Marsh

Luther Marsh Wildlife Management Area is a birder’s paradise, especially during bird migration in the spring and fall.

There are 2 marked trails for hiking and biking as well as an observation tower.

Note that hunting is permitted on certain days (generally Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) between September 1 and February 28.  To find out which days you can safely visit during hunting season, visit the GRCA Website.

Hiking Trails

The East Launch Trail begins at the entrance at the parking lot. Follow the trail south for an easy six kilometre ride or hike along the interior road.

The North Launch Trail or Bootlegger Bike Trail heads west from the main parking lot. It runs 11 kilometres from the dam. A cyclist can continue four kilometres further to the south end of the road and complete a 32 kilometre round trip by using the township roads to return to the dam. Please stay on the marked trails.
