Luther Marsh Wildlife Management Area is a birder’s paradise, especially during bird migration in the spring and fall. 

Note that the marsh is closed to paddlers in the spring to protect birds during the mating season. The marsh can be paddled by canoe or kayak after July 1.  Motorboats are not permitted until after September 1.

There are hiking and bike trails and an observation tower which are open year round. 

Note that hunting is permitted on certain days (generally Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) between September 1 and February 28.  To find out which days you can safely visit during hunting season, visit the GRCA Website.
